  4. New changes since version 2.52  Updates to the location database reflecting changes
  5. in daylight saving rules.  Updating is recommended all users.
  6.  
  7. Changes since version 2.51  Updates to the location database reflecting changes
  8. in daylight saving rules.  Also minor bug fixes. 
  9.  
  10. Updated daylight saving beginning/ending rules to reflect changes around the world.
  11.  
  12. Fixed latitude error for Palo Alto in the database.

  14. Fixed error that prevented database corrections from being activated when upgrading.

  16. Fixed a bug that affected analog clocks when the user had set the date format to
  17. a custom setting of YYYY/MM/DD, such as 2000/11/04.

  19. Upgrade to version 2.52 will be automatic for users of version 2.10 or later.  Just 
  20. stop running your previous version and start running version 2.52.

  22. Changes since version 2.5  No new features. Bug fixes only.

  24. Fixed a sign error at the bottom of the XGA display.

  26. If you upgraded to version 2.5 from an earlier version, the daylight savings rules
  27. for some international locations may not have been incorporated properly in the
  28. upgrading process.

  31. in version 2.4 and 2.5 due to a sign error in the program.

  103. Rigged for continuous running...  For those of you who start HourWorld and 
  104. keep it running for days, weeks, and months, HourWorld will now update the
  105. date at the top of the window.

  108. time, it will merge your old database into the new, keeping all your changes.

  114. Updated daylight saving rule for Australia.  Fixed bug that kept changes to DST
  115.   rules from being saved.  Fixed a related bug that kept users from manually setting

  120. Bug fixes only - no new features. Bugs fixed were related to using HourWorld on
  121.   computers with more than one monitor or display connected.

  123. Fixed bug that caused crash when starting HourWorld on a system running 
  124.   multiple monitors.

  126. Size menu on Preferences Dialog now permits sizing for the maximum monitor 
  127.   size connected in multiple monitor configurations, not just for the main monitor.

  137. Added a new display optimized for 1024 x 768 screens.  This new display uses a
  138.   larger map image with higher resolution, and features nine clocks.

  140. Added a new feature on initial running of the program that starts the software at
  141.   the user's time zone instead of Los Angeles.

  143. Added a new feature to the Sundial screen that displays the percentage of current
  144. solar radiation compared to 100% when the sun is directly overhead.

  162. Added North Pole and South Pole as database locations, and fixed Day/Night Time
  163.   Strips to give appropriate twilight graphics at or near the poles.  Since time zones
  164.   are meaningless at the poles, both North Pole and South Pole are set to Universal
  165.   Time with no daylight saving.  To use a different reference time at one of the poles
  166.   (you might want to use New Zealand time at the South Pole if your supply aircraft 
  167.   comes from there), use the Edit... button on the Location Settings display to change 
  168.   the time zone.

  170. Fixed a recently-introduced bug in the Remove Location routine that prevented the
  171.   removal of locations from the database.

  173. Added a feature to the GPS display that draws big red Xs on the locations when
  174.   GPSy has lost a valid fix.  (This might happen when you hit a bump and the GPS
  175.   unit falls off the dash and onto the floor, or when you drive into a parking garage).
  176.   This new feature works whenever GPSy 3.20 or later or GPSy Pro 0.83 or later 
  177.   reports "No Locational Fix".

  183. Added Day/Night Time Strips display to the HourWorld Display menu, and adjusted
  184.   documentation.  This feature was available in the software in previous versions via
  185.   a preferences item to use it in place of the Phone Call Coordinator.  Some users
  186.   complained that it was too hard to find and activate, so it is much easier now.  Both 
  187.   the Call Coordinator and Day/Night Time Strips are now easily accessible from the 
  188.   main menu.

  193. Made a cosmetic change to the Phone Call Coordinator.

  200. Tested the software with pre-release version 0.82 of GPSy¬ Pro.  All works fine,
  201.   except HourWorld still presents a valid-looking GPS display when GPS signal is 
  202.   lost.  GPSy¬ shows signal loss properly, but HourWorld does not.  Good reason
  203.   not to use HourWorld as your only navigation aid!!  Anticipate this issue being fixed 
  204.   in the next release.

  209. Recompiled with MetroWerks CodeWarrior Professional version 4, using new 
  210.   Universal Headers for System 8.5 compatibility.

  212. Added additional years both back and ahead to the Year menu.  Years now go back
  213.   five and ahead 10.  Base year for the Year menu is obtained from the system clock
  214.   when HourWorld¬ starts up, so in 1999 the base year in the year menu will be
  215.   1999, etc.

  222. Changes since version 2.10r3
  223. Added minutes to the time strip at the top of the map (effective for VGA and SVGA
  224.   sizes only, due to space limitations).  The time strip reflects the use of daylight or
  225.   standard time at the lome location.  Users are reminded that the time strip at the top
  226.   of the map is approximate only, as it is not possible to give one time at the top of a map 
  227.   that is followed by all locations beneath.  Alternate red and blue coloring is used for
  228.   increased readability.

  230. Added a new Time menu that gives time in AMPM format when AMPM is selected
  231.   as the time format in the preferences (AMPM is the default format when HourWorld
  232.   is downloaded).  Format changes in the Time menu take place the next time HourWorld
  233.   is opened after changing the time format preference.

  235. Fixed display of minute advance on the time setting portion of the screen where location
  236.   settings are changed.  A screen-drawing delay made it appear that the minute changed
  237.   when the seconds showed 01.  Now the minute changes correctly when the seconds

  247.   and want HourWorld instead of WorldClock. WorldClock DA is still available for

  308.     and others use two hours, but it should produce less confusion for those who use
  309.     both Date & Time and HourWorld¬ to set their machine location.

  347.     reticle (blue) appears to the far right.   To reposition it, click where you want
  348.     it.  The new position is remembered and should be the same the next time
  349.     you launch the program.
  350.   GPS testing continues to show the program stable with GPSy¬, System 8.1,
  351.     and my PowerBook G3.
